I ran ad-aware and spybot following instructions in another forum and removed some malware but am still getting a net.exe error message when closing windows xp. The window pops up and makes an error sound but windows usually overrides it and closes anyway. It would just be good to fix the problem if possible.

The following is the hijack this log i got from scanning my pc. Any help on what problems might be present and what i should remove would be appreciated. I know you guys are volunteers so thanks for whatever you can decipher.

THANKS FOR THE HELP. I deleted the 4 lines you posted, rebooted and looked for the two files you listed in safe mode but did not locate them. I then ran both online virus scans (no bad or infected files showed up) and rebooted the computer before running HIJACK again. I still get the error message but here are the results of the scan:

I did a search on this command
and the following turned up
net stop tcpip6
Stops the IPv6 protocol and unloads it from memory. This command fails if any IPv6 sockets are open.

This could be a possible reason for the error. Your nework adminstrator has set net.exe to run when windows shuts down and the command failed in the above manner
Once again, thanks for the follow-up on my pc issue. I removed the one line from hijack as you instructed and would be interested in learning more about how perhaps to disable the net.exe command from running at shutdown. I am not on any sort of network besides using skywire broadband wireless internet service, but perhaps that has some connection to the problem. Let me know what other info might help to resolve the problem and I will post it.
