I have been getting popups lately and I have a blocker. I ran the most updated versions of ad aware and spybot but they found nothing. I was hoping there would be something in the log. Please help me out. Thanks.

Windows messenger is a source of pop ups. You can consider using MSN
To prevent future pop ups from windows messenger download a free program call shoot the messenger

Certain pop ups can be blocked with google tool bar
Take note that the advanced features of google toolbar tracks the sites u enter for ranking of popularity. DO NOT install if you do not want to be tracked

A good one firewall can be downloaded here
Zone Alarm

An anti virus program can be downloaded here

With NO other windows open, run HIJACKTHIS, check and fix the following lines if present
The following are resource hogs
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" –atboottime
This stops the activation of quicktime system tray icon at startup
O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE
This line helps speed up the launch of Office programs. It is not necessary for using the any of the Office programs

After that REBOOT and
POST the new log in this thread using 'Add Reply'
