The list will produce a small database of files that will match certain criteria.
Ex: read only files, s/h files, last modified date. size, etc.
The filters provided and registry scan should match the
corresponding file(s) listed.
»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»
Unless the file match the entire criteria, it should not be pointed to remove
without attempting to confirm it's nature!
»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»
At times there could be several (legit) files flagged, and/or duplicate culprit file(s)!
If in doubt, always search the file(s) and properties according to criteria!

The file(s) found should be moved to \FINDnFIX\"junkxxx" Subfolder

I was looking around for info on this mad.dll. I came across this post on another site. I don't understand all the technicalities but maybe you'd be interested in this??

After studying the design of the total velocity program, I developed a sure fire way to delete the spyware and it's associated loaders.

The problem is that the program is self protecting and runs EVEN IN SAFE MODE. You can remove all it's regitry entries but it will put them back in before you can close the registry editor.

FIX IT FOR SURE:

Its a chore and I have a step by step guide to get it out of your computer.

read the document at:
ftp://www.wizardnco.com/pub/Docs/RemoveTVM/

or download it at:
ftp://www.wizardnco.com/pub/Docs/RemoveTV…emove%20TVM.doc

late note: It appears that there are still a couple of registry entries to remove. After following the steps, download and use spybot to take them out. I will try and document a better way to remove them.

I cannot find the administrator account in the users screen. I have administrator privledges but the recovery console is looking for the Admin password and I can't find it…..heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllppppppppppppppp….lol
OK, I figured everything out and followed the instructions from the link I gave you earlier. It looks to my very untrained eye as if we are in good shape. Please take a look and let me know what you think…

Thank You for all your help
Mike

How is it running now?
Coop.Mlxchange is a website I use for my business. I believe there are applets that download in order to view the site. Should I still fix those lines referring to this site??
The reason I identified them is that Ad-watch prevented me from opening any of the links. I've checked the sites.txt file and it's not listed so I'm not sure why it's blocked. If you know and use it then carry on with it. Is it running OK now?
You're welcome - glad to help :D

To help keep you clean follow the recommendations in Tony's article here:

So how did I get infected in the first place?
