Update:
I went a-browsing on this forum (I wanted to see if anyone was having the same problem as I was) and ended up downloading AVG, because Norton refuses to update.
It found 13 viruses, all of which were deleted save for two Trojan Horses (PWS.Priss.A and PSW. Briss. E) which I deleted through safe mode. Now my computer is running 83% free, according to the Performance tab, compared to around 69% before.
Can I consider this progress? (I also deleted a handful of programs before I ran HiJack this, such as Princess Maker 2, that I really didn't need and some old word and photo documents)
As of right now, I can't access my program files through C. drive, but I can access them through a folder browsing (I'm not sure exactly what you call it, but it's the drop down menu thing) and I can do the same with my Control Panel. I can create folders, but I can't move programs (such as HiJack This!) into them. My Recycle Bin came back up, as did the My Pictures folder. IE is still freezing, and the Search option is hasn't appeared since Monday.
Oh, and if anyone knows anything about Outlook Express 6, it won't load either. I have an error in COMCTRL32.dll and when I look it up in my add/remove programs menu, it's not listed.
I managed to move the HiJack This! program into My Documents. Here's the newest log if anyone wants to take a shot at it.

Does 'R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing' mean I did something wrong?
And my log is
really short compared to some of the others. Is this a good thing (I'm pretty clean) or a bad thing (I deleted something)?

And let the angry letter writing campaign commence. I really am starting to think of ways I can get out there and show how badly Gateway has treated me over the past few years, since their refusal to help is only the latest in a string of incidents. I suppose word of mouth is a good way to do it (everytime a family or friend has asked me what kind of computer I use before they got one of their own, it's always 'Gatewaydon'tbuyanythingfromthem' in one breath) but I want to do something more. Any thoughts?
Edit: I almost forgot. I was just looking through my files, and I found three things that caught my attention.
One was a
bundles folder, that had a lot of applications and files in it that I didn't recongize. A lot of the file names seem random (2504040824, bs5-vwqouc) and then there are the ones that scare me (setup-silent, web-rebates) and one that I think is TV Media (Tvm_b5_269), even though I deleted it using Ad-Aware?
Another was a folder named
bsx32 that reminded me of bxxs5. Same thing? Or is it a legitimate program file? Can I delete it?
And, when I go to msnconfig (since Gateway seems fond of sending me there and then telling me I need to call a number for $3 a mintue and buy $40 software that won't even totally clear up the problem), things like the aformentions bxxs5 and PowerProfile and company appear as Registry (Machine Run) even though I could have swore I got rid of them? Is the startup menu just not updated, or do I still have the ghosts lurking in my system.

I also really want to thank anyone who looks at this and offers advice on it. I'm due to get a new computer (a Dell, which a plan to load with anti-spyware, anti-virus, watch-dog software so help me God) soon, since I'm a big bad college student, and I'm working on cleaning this one up for my Ma, and she only uses the Internet and Email (hence why Outlook not working is a huge problem). It's not a bad computer, it's just infected and needs help. It has a lot of life left in it, I think.
