No problem. Done! Here's the new log. Is it my imagination, or is this a nasty little bugger? May have accidently installed it again with hijackthis <_<

OK killbox again and if that does not work hijackthis has a function to kill files also.

Click on this link http://www.downloads.subratam.org/KillBox.zip to download TheKillbox by Option^Explicit. Extract it from the zip file then double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. In the 'Paste Full Path of File to Delete' box, copy and paste

C:\WINDOWS\System32\iexplore.exe

Don't click any of the buttons though, instead please click on the Action menu and choose "Delete on Reboot". Click the button with the red circle with a white X in it. Click OK on the window that appears.

After that, click the exit button to end the pocketkillbox program.

Reboot

Then post a new hijackthis log.

ok please boot to safe mode (tap f8 while bios loads) then put a check beside this line and choose FIX. O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [iexplore] C:\WINDOWS\System32\iexplore.exe Then while still in safe mode delete this file, file may be gone but want to make sure. C:\WINDOWS\System32\iexplore.exe Then reboot and post a new log please. I will be online for about another 10 minutes tonight.
ok. Under safe mode, when I ran hijackthis, iexplore.exe did not show up in the list. I did run a manual search for the file and I found it in three places. Click on this link to see:

Here is the log file while under "safe mode." The log file I get when in "regular mode" does show the line with iexplore.exe.

ok please go to the link below and upload the file and they will send you a report on it.

Ok. But iexplore.exe is not in the C:\WINDOWS\System32\iexplore.exe folder. It shows up in two other folders: c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 and c:\windows\prefetch I ran both those locations. Both came up clean.
