Help! Pop Ups Wont Stop!

Ran adaware se , spybot, mcafee 8, etc. as recommended and keep getting this pop up for Registry Cleaner software with an address in the windows bar entitled http://z1.adserver.com or http://tisg05.casalmedia.com And everything is up to date. It is VERY frustrating. I have attached the hijack this log below. Thank you in advance for your help.

Step # 1

Please download and run CWShredder. Make sure that all browser windows are closed with the exception of Cwshredder and choose FIX.

Please download and run Spybot & AdAware SE Then follow the instructions in the link below to run.

Then do a virus scan here >>> Trend Micro

Reboot and post a new HiJackThis log. You need to update you Hijackthis as there is a new version which you can download HERE

Please boot to safe mode (tap f8 while bios loads) tehn scan with hijackthis and put a check beside these lines and choose FIX.

Looks good :D :thumbup: How is it running any issues?

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. In my signature below is also a tutorial on how to harden IE, a good read and very helpful to stop these things in the future. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on.

Awsome! You rock! I had to reinstall mcafee security center, but that was it. Everything works perfect and NO MORE POP UPS! I couldn't make heads or tails out of that log, I don't know how you know all that, but I am glad you do. Thanks again, Dave
