I was trying to help a friend remove some adware, when I was infected by entering a website. I would greatly appreciate some help now, as my harddrive seems to be working overtime with loss of internet use at times. I have run spybot, ad-aware, x-cleaner without much improvement. The files lsass.exe, wuauclt.exe, and svchost.exe are running processes that seem to be causing much of the problem. Thanks. HJT log below:

Close all Browser and Program Windows and have HijackThis fix the following.
Do this by checking the box beside each and then clicking on Fix checked.

Under "items to clear" click all. Then click "clear selected items"

Reboot and Rescan with HJT and post a new log here.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
Thanks for your help. I performed your recommendations, but the same processes continue to use up the harddrive, however not as much as before. I have included the hjt log after doing the above. Thanks again.

My friend has been unwittingly surfing the web and downloading…now her harddrive is completely tied up with adware/trojan. She cannot run any programs without these processes using 100% of her harddrive. I have tried to help her by using 6 aware/spyware removal programs including spybot, but nothing seems to get rid of these processes, and they return on reboot. I'd greatly appreciate any help. Sorry about the dual threads…have both laptops side by side. Anyhow, as the last recommendation was regarding my friend's problems, I followed your recommendations, however sisam11m.exe, etui1n.exe, winstar.exe files did not exist this time, and instead looks like they were replaced by the following: rwatsond.exe, tdos412n.exe, and bjselo.exe…now the latest hjt shows these new files ilemgmtf.exe and liconfgc.exe…and her computer is running really slow. Here's the latest hjt log: Thanks. You got all the malware out of the log.

I can't explain the "slowness".

Do you want me to see if I can "ferret out" some of the programs that you may not need "at startup"?

The only one I am sure of at this point would be this program:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

You can "fix" that and reboot, and things will still work fine. :)
Thanks for your help M68. It seems to be running better than before, and she is quite happy to be able to run her usual programs. Hopefully she'll be more careful. Thanks again.
Glad we could help :D

To help keep you clean follow the recommendations in Tony's article here:

So how did I get infected in the first place?
