Please click here for instructions on how to set up a HijackThis folder.

Download then unzip and run CWShredder to clean up clicking "FIX" to have it remove all it finds.

CWShredder available from these places :-

http://www.zerosrealm.com/downloads.php
Or this as a full download without any unzipping required
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/CWShredder.exe

We have found that some of the CWS infections can be removed better from safe mode, rather than normal mode.
To get to safe mode use the F8 key while booting the machine. Detailed instructions from here :-
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgen…001052409420406

Then post another log.
hey sorry bout late reply but now i cant even get on the internet cos explorers hijacked and wont go to ANY webpage. Tried using cwshredder long ago. but it didnt work. is there some way u can look at the log i posted and determine source of problems there? Cheers dude

The following have randomly named file names, and as such are normally malware.
UNLESS you know what they are, and they are from a safe source, follow their process tree.
Right click on the file and go to Properties. Then go to the Version tab to see what company name it's from:
If it's from some name you never heard of or if it's blank, please check for removal also.

Hi

Thanks for your help. Followed your instructions so far, which might have stopped coolwebsearch taking over my toolbar amd homepage. Main problem now is with my internet explorer. When i connect to the internet and click internet explorer, a caption appears saying

'Please check your content advisor settings for missing information. Click the Tools menu and then click Internet Options. On the Content tab, check the Content Advisor settings'

Ive gone into this menu (i think!) but i dont know wat its asking me to do. When i click ok on the caption above, internet explorer loads but it will not allow me to go to any web address i type in the browser - every page comes up 'unknown', and instead of saying
internet in the bottom right corner, it says my computer!

Cant understand it!

Please help!
