Free scanner+repair for infected JPEGs (MS04-028)

As many of you would know there is a critical vulnerability that allows attackers to gain control over a remote system simply by enticing the victim into viewing a specially-crafted JPEG file.

A free scanner has now been released to help with the detection and disinfection/repair of JPEG files infected with MS04-028 exploit code. The scanner is available in both console and GUI user interfaces, and at less than 30kbs in size it's a quick download and easy to use. When something is too good to be true, it probably is.
Highlight and copy just the homepage.
After pasting it in the URL bar, go to the home and look through the downloads.
The main downloads are free trials, so look in the freeware section.
There is no JPEGScan, and even in your URL, it doesn't include it's history.
Version 1.1 may be upgraded from 1.0 (first public release), but I wouldn't rely on it to clean my system.
The free scan may also put stuff on my system.

By the way, this is the wrong forum for this thread.
It should be in Security Info And Programs.

Oh contrare...as of date and time of this post, the download link -is- very apparent at that exact URL.

Also, Diamond CS is a very trustworthy outfit, and has been with us all in the malware battle for quite some time.

Too bad about the admin placement of this thread, but it doesn't de-value its worth one iota.
