OK, once more once more. Logs to follow. (I HATE putting hard drives out of their/my misery anyway!) BTW, although I can't configure it, NAV 2005 is apparently running it's autoprotect, and thinks the Symantec backdoor.Agent.b.Removal is a VERY HIGH RISK virus… WHICH hand is holding the coin???

Ran Agent.B, found 1 to be deleted on boot, 1 reg entry and 24 viral threads. When I booted, I got 5 BSODs, re: iesprt.sys. Trying to use Safre mode gave me keyboard and mouse lockups 4 times. Fdisking as we speak. Thank you anyway! Glad I tried it, at least.

Hmm.. probably for the best. System has too many glitches.
