Hi Tom et al., I'm seeking a reliable freeware program that bans websites, namely porn, drugs, explicit lyrics, etc.. Most importantly, It must be able to manually input websites for blocking. Any suggestions? Thanks, Hal
Spywareguard & IESPYad, both in my signature below will add about 10,000 sites to your restricted zone. They are both free and updated fairly regularly. I would also suggest that you download Spywareguard as it will actaully stop some hijacks.

Does ISpyad have a whitelist as well as a blacklist?
This is for sites like Lara Croft Online, that's 95 percent Flash, 4 percent Java, and 1 percent text. (macros)
if you are using ie then go for BOTH IE-SPYADS and the HOSTS file also Javacools spywareblaster and spybot search and destroy IMMUNIZE and HOSTS (in MODE>ADVANCED if one of these blocks Laura then just remove from hosts or ie restricted sites thats the way to whitelist it add programs one a time and test Hosts will also work with FIREFOX or other browsers ie-spyads is just for IE and OUTLOOK/ Outlook exppress post back here if you need help configureing OE for restricted sites (if you use oe) keep IE to access windows update- which is essential go for spywareguard also unless you are running something similar run a good firewall (not xp) zone alarm unless you're adventuous what are you using for AV and anti trojan? wyrmrider
