I followed the instructions from your Sep 27 2004, 01:24 AM post. I was not able to get rid of the file "O2 - BHO: MultimppObj Class - {002EB272-2590-4693-B166-FBD5D9B6FEA6} - C:\WINNT\multimpp.dll" or the "C:\Documents and Settings\BRUCE MOODY\Local Settings\Temp\THI3BAB.tmp" file/folder.

Below is my latest log since the above attempts. Where do we go from here?
Thanks,
Bruce

For the following file, I want to make sure it's not a valid system file. Right click on it and go to Properties. Then go to the Version tab to see what company name it's from: MSCRON.EXE
I can't seem to locate a "Version" tab for this MSCRON.EXE file when checking Properties. However, when I have the cursor touch the file, the only thing that comes up in the yellow box is a Date Created (which was 9-3-04) and the file creation time. There is no Company or Description info listed either. I don't know for sure, but I do not think this application is a requested download fix of any kind. Bruce

Please Scan with Spybot Search and Destroy:

Downloaded and Install Spybot S&D, accepting the Default Settings

In the Menu Bar at the top of the Spybot window you will see 'Mode'. Make certain that 'default mode' has a check mark beside it.

Close ALL windows except Spybot S&D

Click the button to ‘Search for Updates’ and download and install the Updates.

Next click the button ‘Check for Problems’

When Spybot is complete, it will be showing ‘RED’ (RED) entries ‘BLACK’ entries and ‘GREEN’ (GREEN) entries in the window

Make certain there is a check mark beside all of the RED (RED) entries ONLY.

Choose ‘Fix Selected Problems’ and allow Spybot to fix the RED (RED) entries.

REBOOT to complete the scan.

Now that you have Spybot, Start Spybot click mode make sure that advanced mode is checked.
Click tools>system startup Remove the green check mark on

MSCRON.EXE

Reboot and lets us know if if you have any more trouble please describe how your computer behaves.
