Hi:

My computer suddenly started running really slow. All programs are taking forever to open and the applications in the programs are taking forever to function. Here is my log. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Hiya' Kenji

You need to put HJT in a permanent folder…backups can't be made running from an unzipped state in a temporary directory.
Here's how to make a folder:
Click My Computer, then C:\
In the menu bar, File->New->Folder.
That will create a folder named New Folder, which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis". Now you have C:\HJT\ folder. Put your HijackThis.exe there, and double click to run it.

Your log is clean…..but you might want to take a look at this program and decide if it's necessary in your startup menu:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\UpdateService\issch.exe" -
start

If you haven't updated and scanned with Ad-aware SE and Spybot s&d, please do so. Follow the tutorials for deep scanning:

Install and how to use Ad-aware SE

Install and how to use Spybot s&d

Reboot after scanning, then go into Internet Options - General tab. Delete temporary internet files, and choose to delete all Offline content. Also, go to Start - Find - Files or folders - in the named box, type: *.tmp and choose Edit - select all - File - delete. Empty the contents of the C:\Windows\temp folder and C:\temp folder, if you have one. Empty Recycle bin.

Post a new log if you're still having problems.
