Hi Everyone,

Here's a story to back up this log:

My computer's been overrun for months with windows poppin up uncontrollably and paralyzing my system. Had a friend come over and check it out, he run and he helped stop the crazy-fire maddness. But then, I found my box was running so slow it was still not usable without my wanting to smash it. I installed norton, adaware, and spybot, all of which found nothing. I went to my temp files and erased all of them, then went looking around in safe mode, found some wierd file and erased it. Things began looking up, moving a bit faster. Computer speed went up, to a usable level. But still so slow, not workable for online stuff. I looked at task manager and had many svchosts.exe lined up with one using about 37,000k and about 70-90% CPU. Ended that process, and then avserv2.exe took over with about 16,000k and 57% CPU usage. I ended that one too and VIOLA! my computer feels like my old pal again. System idle is at 96% like I was used to before. Came back online, without a glitch, but would like help with my log. I don't know what caused this whole mess, and I'm afraid to shut down only to have it start all over on reboot. Any advice?
