Dorothy -
I was only able to find about 25 more files. I have zipped them and I am sending them to you now. I couldn't find the password protect option - if they don't get through to you then you will need to give me instructions on passwording them. There isn't much there, but it will give you something fun to look at. Here is a look at my HJT file. Things are working well. Thanks a billion zillion.

Bryan

one entry in the HJT log jumps out at me *westlaw.com. The rest is clean!
If you know what this entry is, then there is no problem. However, If it is something you do not recognize go to Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Security > Trusted Zone > Sites and remove it. It has complete access to your Hard Drive so if it is not something you want there, remove it

Thank-you so much for the files, they will help a lot of people.

I think you may benefit from reading the article "How Did I Get Infected In The First Place" linked at the bottom of this post, for information on how to secure your PC from spyware/adware/malware.There are several small free programs mentioned there that help with securing your PC against this type of problem.

Always use an Antivirus program that you can update the definitions every few days. An old AV program if it is not updated with current virus definitions is useless. This is essential when you are using the internet. Two are listed here, take your pick:

AVG Free AntiVirus

Avast anti virus free

You do not appear to have a firewall running and there are a few available for free that have excellent reputations:

Zone ALarm Free Firewall
Westlaw is a service I use for school (I am a law student). When I upgraded to SP2 I was unable to print from westlaw on my school's network unless I added it as a trusted site. It is ok. I am not too keen on firewalls, I know a little bit about them, but not a lot. This all started when I hooked my apartment up with a wireless internet connection. I think SP2 uses a firewall automatically, but I will check and make sure. I am glad those files helped you - you helped me so much it is the least I can do. If there is anything at ALL I can do to help any more, let me know. I use AVG and I love it - a lot more than McAfee (which is out of date and I'm not willing to pay for updates). Keep me updated on what you learn from those files (if anything) by e-mail. I will do the same if I find any other odd files, see anything odd, etc. Thank you so so so so so so so much Dorothy. You are literally a godsend. If there is anything I can ever do to help - let me know. Bryan Goldsmith
Your very Welcome I am just glad we were able to help. Yes I will let you know about the files I am sending them to several of the developers and we should get some answers.
Hi Bryan You wanted to know what the files you sent showed to our developers. I got the written report today and thought I would pass it along to you. Essentially these files were useful because they show that the infection has morphed again and is now more infectious than ever. I posted this so you would get an email to check this post and I have posted a pm to you with the information in it. Thanks again for your co-operation and I hope your computer is working well D
Glad we were able to help you. This topic is now closed.
