When I open my browser the homepage is set to Search4u.net. after running cwshredder and reopening the browser the page is blank, i thought because it was fixed and the search4u.net page was longer there. but when i reboot it comes back. please help me! these bastards should be hung!

Could you download HijackThis, extract it from the zip file into it's own directory and scan your computer. When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button. Save the log, Ctrl-A to Select All and post it here for examination. Don't fix anything yet as most of what it lists will be harmless.
daemon, i accidentally posted this twice. the second one should be right under this one. i've done the hijack this and several other things as directed in the second post. i'm having problems getting rid of the winlogon file. if you could take a look at the second post and see what you think. it looks like it's getting worse.
