Hey I have a problem with improper shut downs, the computer is just loosing power and shutting down. It happens about once every 2-3 days, 6 days at the most without a shut down. I have tried practically everything I can think of in order to isolate the issue. At first I thought it was updates since i just recently built a new computer so I had to install quite a few security patch updates for WIN11. I noticed also in doing so, the system would boot to the bios instead of windows. I am forced to shut down my system and then restart in order for it to boot to windows after an improper shut down.
I have re-installed a brand new PSU, thinking potentually maybe the PSU could be the culprit since I made a pretty fatal mistake during my PC build, in plugging in a modular cable from a EVGA Power supply into a Corsair accidently and ended up frying a few components. I since replaced the components which included 2 PCI-E USB expansion cards. I also replaced the CPU.
I used a Burn-in Test by passmark to stress some of my components such as the CPU and graphics card in the event that maybe some of them could be damaged. All the tests passed and there wasn't any issues present. The only thing I have not replaced is the motherboard. How ever to troubleshoot this further, I started to anayalize the event viewer to see where these critical errors are coming from in the logs.
I did notice that Hyper Visor error popped up stating "The hypervisor did not enable mitigations for side channel vulnerabilities for virtual machines because HyperThreading is enabled. To enable mitigations for virtual machines, disable HyperThreading". This error was within 1 min interval of the shut down. This is very consistent that every time i get a shut down, the hyper visor error is displayed. So I went into the BIOS and disabled all Virtualization and Hyper Visor to where now it doesn't even show up in the event viewer, but yet im still getting shut downs. So apparently that was not it.
I am at a complete loss at this point, the only thing I can truly do is just replace my motherboard. But I feel like this is problem that more so consistutes a configuration with the BIOS because that is what it seems like to me, rather then the motherboard it self being damaged. I considered maybe the clock timings could be out of synce for the memory and maybe I have to configure that, but I really don't know. So if if there is any kind of troubleshooting or advice you can give me to isolate and fix this issue, that would be great.
Here is my logs for my Event viewer that displays the Kernal Power error and Hyper Visor.
