Hi, hoping someone can help with my printer, HP Officejet 4622.

Two days ago my provider sent a new router and new modem and increased my internet speed.

I was all Wi-Fi, but now the provider (Spectrum) directed me to hook up an Ethernet cable from the back of the router to the back of my desktop, this did in fact raise my internet speed to near 480Mbps down and 23Mps up.

However, my printer will not print now. I was directed to disconnect power from both router and modem, let them reboot, then to push the WPS button on the back of the router. This did nothing, message says Printer not on network. Wi-Fi light on printer is flashing on as normal. Driver up-to-date.

Troubleshooter states  Error printer is off-line.

I tried to connect printer via USB cable but that has no effect either.

Everything was working just fine before router/modem swap.

Please help if possible PC is - HP Pavilion Desktop 590-p0xx with Intel Core i3-8110 CPU 3.60 GHz processor, 8.00 GB RAM, x64-bit operating system

Printer is HP Officejet 4622

TIA

Did you change wifi passphrases with the new router? The new router may be trying to give the printer a new IP and the printer may be stuck on the old.

Thank you Digerati,

The router was trying to give the printer a new IP but couldn't.

I was able to reconfigure the printer by temporally plugging in the USB again and going back to HP>Utilities>Printer Set-up & Software>Reconfigure Wireless Settings>

Then I connected the USB and chose to automatically find printer and assign a new IP which it did, and typed in the new password, then removed USB, and now everything is working great.

Thank you very much for taking your time to help me.

You are very much appreciated.

Thanks again from a happy camper.
