Is it safe to buy a Huion tablet? Is there malware in the drivers?

I am not sure if I posted this in the right forum.

 

I read in this thread about a user that seems to have experienced a malware infection after installing a driver for a Huion digitizing tablet:

I was interested in buying a Huion tablet, but now I'm not sure it is safe.

Can anyone here tell me if Huion drivers are suspected to have malware?

To me,  this is so hard to answer.

 

The person who downloaded a required set of drivers might not had gotten it from a safe download site or,  said that is when and where it happened but actually it had came in from a totally different venue.

Surfing to find what was needed at the time could had caused the infection from a bad java script to clicking on an ad;

 

If something needs to be downloaded you can save to desktop and scan it out before completely installing it to ensure safety.
