I buy used MSI laptop i3 with window 8, it is in good condition and working excellent but its DVD drive is not accessing. Anyone knows what the reason behind it? How can i fix this issue?
You say you can't access it, do you mean it wont read any disc's (CD's and\or DVD's) ? Or the system just wont see the drive ?
Either way I suspect it may be a case of it needs a new drive, if heavily used the lenses can get dirty, if it see's one type of disk but not the other, it supports this, as there are 2 lenses in it, one for each type of disc, and as you bought it second hand there is no way to know how they had used it, but if you can explain more it may help up to see what you mean.
I agree but note the lens can get dirty even if hardly used because system fans will draw air, along with dust and dirt, in through the cracks around the tray opening and vent holes in the drive case, which can then be deposited on the lens.
So as noted, it may just be a dirty lens, or something else as 8210GUY noted. So bottom line, we need more information. Does the drive have power (will the tray open and close when you press the button)? Can you see the drive under Computer or in Device Manager?
If you mean you can't play dvd on Windows 8, that's normal. Because the Windows 8 doesn't include DVD playback function. But there are some other way to help you play DVD on Windows 8.
1. Although Windows Media Center is no longer be included on Windows 8 by default, this software, still including DVD playback support, is available for purchasing in the "Pro Pack" or "Media Center Pack" add-ons. Then you can buy Windows Media Center for DVD playback on Windows 8.
2. Install VLC media player which will play DVD on Windows 8
