Unlike newer operating systems xp does not have as many drivers inbuilt, so you need to install numerous drivers to get your PC fully working, so go HERE and download the drivers for your motherboard (the link is under the image), if your unsure which to get, let us know and we can help guide you, just take notice if more than 1 driver is offered for a specific part, take note what device you have (Look at Belarc advisor it may tell you specifically), and the date, if a part has several of the same drivers, only use the newest one, do not touch the older ones, once you finish installing those you should be fully functional again.

When you install them do it in the following order;
Chipset
Video (you will need to see what card you have, then go to that makers site to get that driver)
Audio
LAN

After this there is no specific order I know of, so just install what's left as you like, some will say some of the above should be done in a slightly different order, it depends on how they were told, but I think all would agree these are the ones to do first, even if they swap 2 of them around, once complete that should get you fully working again, see how you go and feel free to holla if you need more help.
Hey there! Thank you very much for the info! I tried to download the chipset for the motherboard, but it said that it was for a 64, and that my computer is not a 64?
When you go to download you MUST, select the correct operating system to get the correct files, and being xp Home I seriously doubt it's the 64bit version, now don't confuse the systems ability to run a 64bit OS, to having a 64bit system, to utilise the full potential of your system you need to get a 64bit OS, then you can gain performance, and be able to use your full 4gig of ram (32bit OS's can see an average of 3.5gig give or take), possibly even increase it (I'd have to look closer to confirm though), so until you get a 64bit OS, you will have to select the xp 32bit drivers to keep you going.
