Ran Ad-aware And Spybot, But Pop-ups Still Come

Not sure about your start page but otherwise it looks OK - how is it running now?

Oh, if the start page you're talking about is www.penny-arcade.com, then it's just a webcomic that I like to read. My computer is running great now, thanks for all your help. It used to be that everytime I ran a program, an ad would pop-up, but now there are no more pop-ups. And btw, my norton antivirus thing expired a few days ago, so do you know of any free firewalls or antiviruses? thanks

Uninstall it. Go here to download the free version of Grisoft's AVG AntiVirus program. Go here here to download the free version of Emsisoft's a2 AntiTrojan program.

Install both programs, check for updates and scan your system allowing them to remove whatever they find.
