Hi MSB146,

We can try disabling the following 2 entries from start-up to see if that improves the page pause issue.

Disable Spybot - Search & Destroy's Tea Timer. Please follow the instructions below.
  • Locate your copy of Spybot - Search & Destroy's and open it.
  • In the menu bar at the top select "Mode", then select "Advanced".
  • In the left hand menu expand the "Tools" menu.
  • Select "Resident", then remove the check mark for "Resident Tea Timer"
  • Then exit the program by clicking "File" then select "Exit"
Next

Disable SUPERAntiSpyware on start-up. Please follow the instructions below.
  • Open SUPERAntiSpyware
  • Locate the "Preferences" button, click it
  • On the "General and Start-up" tab
  • Under the "Start-Up Options", remove the check mark from "Start SUPERAntiSpyware when Windows starts"
  • Exit SUPERAntiSpyware
Reboot

Check to see if there are any improvements?
At this stage, my issues are more Zonealarm related. It runs a scan on start up even though I have it for weekly only. I have had these issues with ZA before. Are you able to recommend a better AV/Firewall setup?
Hi MSB146,

If you refer back to post #10, scroll down about midway and there are a few suggested Free Anti-Virus & Firewall programs. Some require more configuration than others. You might need to just try any of them and see if they are a better fit for your system. But remember to only install and run 1 (one) Anti-Virus and 1 (one) Firewall. Running multiple Anti-Virus & Firewalls actually do more harm then good because they can conflict with each other.
Hi OCD everything seems to be running well. Thanks again for your time and advice. Would be lost without it. Take care and best regards John
