On my slow internet here at work it will take forever to download that file. Go ahead and extract all the files to a folder. If there is one that ends in ….win.exe that will be the one you want. If you are unsure you can post a picture of the folder contents and I'll be glad to look at it.

Archived Flash Player versions available for testing

The files you have downloaded here are specifically for Flash developers who are testing their movies with older Flash Players. For normal use, please download the current version of the Flash Player, available from the Flash Player Download Center (http://www.adobe.com/go/getflash).

Adobe has made these archived players available for download at the request of the Flash developer community. Macromedia Technical Support does not provide support for the installation or use of these old players.

Before installing a different Flash Player we recommend uninstalling the currently installed Flash Player and restarting the system. For more information on removing and installing the Flash Player, see How to uninstall the Flash plug-in and ActiveX
Control (TechNote 14157, http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase…fm?id=tn_14157). If you previously installed a version of Flash Player for Internet Explorer, then you may be prevented from installing an earlier version. To resolve this issue, follow the additional
instructions found in Safe versions security restrictions when installing Flash Player (TechNote kb402435, http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewConten…&sliceId=2).

Except as expressly provided otherwise in an agreement between you and Adobe, all players are provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, for testing purposes only.

Your use of these players is governed by the End User License Agreement found at http://www.adobe.com/products/eulas/. Distribution of these players is prohibited except as expressly provided otherwise in an agreement between you and Adobe.

In no event will Adobe be liable for any special, indirect or consequential damages or any damages whatsoever resulting from the loss of use, data or profits, whether in an action for breach of contract or warranty or tort (including negligence) arising out of or in connection with the information or software.

Adobe may make changes to the information, software, technical specification and at any time and without notice.

Go with Internet Explorer: flashplayer10_3r183_29_winax.msi that should be the installation file. Obviously the winax.exe will be the executable once it has been installed. Your instincts were on the money! Let me know how it goes. Fingers crossed!
I extracted only the Winmax files (3 of them) and ran the installer. Hung with a 1722. Do I need to extract all the files or got o another version
About ready to dump this carp**. Prior installs don't seem to work so I rebooted, turned off security and tried to install the latest version again knowing I can uninstall if it fails oops that failed also Cleared everything out again, checked secrity issues on adobe and will try again
Try the latest version as a clean download directly from Adobe and just see what happens. Let's cross our combined fingers and hope for the best. Maybe something just got in there that shouldn't have been along the way and was removed during the uninstall. Let's go with the path of least resistance for a moment here. We can always uninstall if we need to.
Ok loaded latest adobe and also got chrome. Site works in Chrome but still getting problems with IE8 I ran the site and got a look at some privacy settings and there's a Adobe.com/Macromedis file being blocked and A google ads file also. Strange one time I just get one and then the other and sometimes both. Checked my privacy setting and security sites and unless I missed something nothing there. All I need to do is find a way of unblocking these I assume cookies
You'll have to work with me here because I have IE9. Go back to the Kia site. While there, in Internet Explorer, choose View > Webpage Privacy Policy and you should be able to see anything that was blocked and you should have the option to unblock or block what you need to. Let me know if that helps you.
Subject: kia I think I'm up against a wall now. This is the only site that I've used in a while that created this problem, probably due to a corrupt install. My bookmarks look like a Wikipedia entry and I go to a lot of Places (all clean scared to death of virus) I've been trying to view the web site as I did before but it craps out too early and switches to the Google page. There are times when the page loads slower and I can click on the privacy icon at the bottom. That gives me the restricted sites and also the web page items.and I did unblock some but didn't get them all. Sometimes I get most of the images in before Armageddon. I'll keep at this for a few more days but don't have much confidence in solving this I also thought about transplanting the Laptops cookies to my machine but don't even want to go there. I now have a 'Sophies Choice" here. Deal with the problem site using the chrome browser and IE8 for all the others. Sloppy choice on my part but it's getting to be a career for the both of us and as intriguing as the problem is, we both have work to do. I really thank you for the work you put into this and if you happen to come across a "Eureka" moment please let me know. I'll try and do the same. I'll get back with a status at the end of the week Thanks again Jack
Please check your PM''s. I've gotten a bit off track here. Did you try resetting IE to default settings in the Advanced tab of IE? There is a button for that.
Sorry I didn't get back to you. No changes and using Chrome for the screwed up web site. Guess you can close this and again, thanks for your help Jack
