Hello.

A friend of mine used my computer and made some downloads, and after that I found myself with this hideous program. When I download a torrent file, Download Beast automatically pops up and manages the download. Previously I used uTorrent. However, uTorrent and BitTorrent are now blocked and cannot be opened. Only Download Beast works.

I have scanned my PC with Avast! and Panda Cloud Antivirus, and none of them have found any results. However, I can see the file is placed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Download Beast. Just I dont know whether I should delete it or this would only make things worse.

  • I will be working on your Malware issues, this may or may not, solve other issues you have with your machine.
  • The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for the issues on this machine.

IMPORTANT NOTE : Please do not delete, download or install anything unless instructed to do so.

DO NOT use any TOOLS such as Combofix or HijackThis fixes without supervision. Doing so could make your system inoperable and could require a full reinstall of your Operating System and losing all your programs and data.

Important Note for Vista and Windows 7 users:

These tools MUST be run from the executable.(.exe) every time you run them with Admin Rights (Right click, choose "Run as Administrator")

Hi Lince,

Sorry for the delay …

I notice that you have both Avast and Panda Cloud Antivirus running at the same time. Having more than one antivirus program running at the same time can seriously degrade the performance of your system. Please uninstall either Avast or Panda Cloud Antivirus (which ever you prefer) using either the provided uninstall feature that is part of the antivirus program or through Add/Remove Programs (for Vista and Win 7 users to go to Programs and Features in the Control Panel). As a rule of thumb one should run one firewall, one antivirus program in memory, and one antispyware utility in memory. It's fine to have other security tools available on an as-needed or on-demand basis, but when multiple tools simultaneously perform the same function, you're asking for trouble.

Next

Please download DeFogger to your desktop.

Right Click and select "Run as Administrator DeFogger to run the tool.
  • The application window will appear
  • Click the Disable button to disable your CD Emulation drivers
  • Click Yes to continue
  • A 'Finished!' message will appear
  • Click OK
  • If it needs to, DeFogger may ask to reboot the machine - click OK
IMPORTANT! If you receive an error message while running DeFogger, please post the log defogger_disable which will appear on your desktop.
Do not re-enable these drivers until otherwise instructed.

Next
  • Download OTL to your desktop.
  • Right click and select "Run as Administrator". Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
  • When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
  • Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.
  • Under Custom Scan paste this in

  • Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.

    Note:These logs can be located in the OTL. folder on you C:\ drive if they fail to open automatically.
  • Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post it with your next reply. You may need two posts to fit them both in.
Next

Please download aswMBR to your desktop.
  • Double click the aswMBR icon to run it.
    Vista and Windows 7 users right click the icon and choose "Run as administrator".
  • Click the Scan button to start scan.
  • When it finishes, press the save log button, save the log file to your desktop.
