My son has a pretty new Dell N5030 laptop computer with Windows 7 OS. The Dell Dock no longer works. I have removed it and re-installed it from the Dell website and tried to launch it from the home page but I always get the error that the "Dell Dock has stopped working." At one point we also got a "Detect OEM" error but I have only seen that once so I'm not sure if that's the cause of the error. What else can I do to get the dock working again? Can you help? Thanks! Casi
can you start the pc in safe mode and then start the dell dock running without problems? not being very windows 7 savvy and knowing nothing about dell dock, i'm thinking something may be stopping it from running. if it still doesn't work it might need to be run with administrator privileges. with any luck someone with more windows knowledge will pop in and help but seeing if it'll run in safe mode is as good a place to start as any. :D
