Hi Terry,
I have to step outside to handle a local matter.
Are you able to have a look at the IPconfig.
Where we may need to go next is
ipconfig /release
then ipconfig /renew

If you are able to stand in for this, then thanks,
If not, then I'll have a look after I return, but folks are pounding on the front door as I type
what it didn't put an ipconfig.txt file on your desktop after you hit the enter key? have you tried it again to make sure you didn't make a typing error?
you have any ideas paws? not got a windows system up and running to test anything myself but can't think of a reason why the command wouldn't work unless there's deeper problems somewhere.
Hi ToshibaSattelite
Try this:
Click on Start
Click on Run
type in the white box
cmd
press Enter key
at the DOS prompt type in:
cmd /c "ipconfig /all > postme.txt & ping bbc.co.uk >> postme.txt & notepad postme.txt & del postme.txt"
Press Enter key
Note please use "copy and paste" (Ctrl+c and Ctrl+v) for this command, as this will automatically make sure you get the spaces correct! and also don't forget the inverted commas, they need to be there…
Please copy and paste the output into your reply (Make sure you capture it all) and one of us will analyse it for you and advise on the next steps.

did you do the ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew and if so did it make any changes to the auto config ip address, subnet mask and default gateway?

Just dropped a Eucalyptus tree that was dangerously overhanging my living room roof.
Fortunately I had about 6 men to do the heavy rope and cutting work.
Sorry about the delay.

I know this may sound elementary, but did you press enter after each command?
ipconfig /release - then press "enter"
Ipconfig /renew - then press "enter"
