I have figured out that when I turn of the WIFI switch off it works fine but when i turn it on it does the same thing. Note:It is a very old computer that was gave to me from my uncle.Alright,so i have a Toshiba Satellite M35X-S311 and when i log in to in with the WIFI switch on it gives me a blue screen with white letters for a split second and then in reboots. Next - Turn off auto-reboot, so that we can instead receive Error information via BlueScreen.
Here's how:
turn off auto-restart: (you can turn it back on after you are finished with this repair by reversing the same steps)
1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System
2. Go to Advanced
3. Under the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings
4. Under System Failure un-check "Automatically restart"
In your next reply to this thread, please post "the entire" Error message from the BlueScreen.

It is very possible that the Network Adapter Driver is corrupted and will need to be replaced.
But let's have a look at the BlueScreen Error Message first.

Your Toshiba M35X-311 uses: Intel® 802.11a/b/g,b/g Driver V10.5.1.59/V9.0.4.17 & PROSet V10.5.0.1 for the wired and wi-fi driver function.
Installation media for the driver is downloaded as: intel_wireless_105159_os2006207a.exe
Available to be downloaded from the Toshiba manufacturers site here:
http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su…mily=1073768663
In Device Manager, navigate to Network Adapter(s)
Double-Click on Network Adapters
This should expand the catagory
Intel® 802.11a/b/g <– should appear
If any other device is listed other than indicated above —- STOP
Then post back here with information of the currently present device listed in Network Adapters.
If Intel® 802.11a/b/g is the current Device
Click the Driver(tab)
Click - Uninstall
Reboot your machine with Wi-Fi switch still turned off.
Navigate to wherever you have saved the downloaded installation media (from above)
Click on the downloaded intel_wireless_105159_os2006207a.exe
Follow any on-screen instructions and options, with yes or OK or proceed
Reboot your computer, this time with the Wi-Fi button switched to ON.
Please post back with your results or any further questions and comments.

If i download this on my windows 7 and put it on a flash drive and transfer it to my Satellite will it work?
Yes.
Thank you, I am now unzipping the files and starting it up.If i download this on my windows 7 and put it on a flash drive and transfer it to my Satellite will it work?
Yes.
Wait, One question, does it install only one thing? You are the bomb. I am installing this now.
The Toshiba website information states that it first installs Intel 802.11 b/g driver and the ProSet.
ProSet is dependent upon the first installation and adds wireless connectivity feature.
Wait on calling this fix "the Bomb", until it hopefully actually works.
We "may" be faced with additional issues. But I hope not. And hope this alone does the trick.
