Its hard to say whats going on without viewing any logs from scans we need to run, what your going to have to do is to download some programs from a known clean computer and transfer them to the infected one by usb thumb drive.

windows 7 home security 2012 virus <– this most times has a rootkit involved and by removing the rootkit is sometimes messes up your internet connection

This is what we need to do.

You stated that your brother tried everything, what I need to know is exactly what programs he has run to try and remove this ?

Download DDS from one of the links below to your desktop

  • Double click the tool to run it.
  • A black Screen will open, just read the contents and do nothing.
  • When the tool finishes, it will open 2 reports, DDS.txt and attach.txt
  • Copy/Paste the contents of 'DDS.txt' into your post.
  • 'attach.txt' should be zipped using Windows native zip utility and attached to your post. Compress and uncompress files (zip files)

Download aswMBR.exe ( 511KB ) to your desktop.

Double click the aswMBR.exe to run it
