don't know who keeps recommending these programs to you peter, but in future say thank you very much then quickly forget about them..
NO!!! automated registry/system optimizer programs whatever are recommended here at WTT they are more trouble than they are worth usually.
keep auto startup programs to a minimum and run regularly, ccleaner to delete any temp files followed by a defrag of the hard drive.
that's all you really need to keep your system running at it's best.
The way he was raving I thought there were some features other than a registry cleaner but apparently not.
He said eveyone at work uses Glary. I am going to dismiss it and thanx for the tip.
I never use a registry cleaner except to run Ccleaner's Windows part- please see prntscrn anf I accept criticism gladly.
I have to always type passwords in and have 3 email programs so it is a pain.. How can I avoid that?
start a new topic peter, i don't know what's best on a windows machine but i do know in linux i can setup a single program to download my e-mails from all my e-mail accounts at once(kmail), i believe but can't remember for sure that it uses a wallet program to securely store my passwords, it'll also leave the original messages on the site as backups if i want, not that i ever use it tho.
i just visit my e-mail sites and let firefox remember my passwords(not best security practice i know but that's what i do anyway. ) actually i don't think i've check my e-mail accounts for about 2 months.
