Thanks for reading!

I just bought a used laptop from my friend's coworker.

It's a Toshiba laptop - Windows Vista.

It seems there's an overheating issue as well. But we could discuss that at another time.

What I wanted help on was if there is any viruses, malwares, or peculiar malfunctions on this laptop.

I want to see what condition this laptop is in and how much longer it will last for.

Your laptop has an AMD Processor and they tend to run hotter than an Intel, but we can have the windows people check further on this when where done.

Hijackthis is not used to much any more, this other program will show us more of whats going on

Download DDS from one of the links below to your desktop

Double click the tool to run it.
A black Screen will open, just read the contents and do nothing.
When the tool finishes, it will open 2 reports, DDS.txt and attach.txt
Copy/Paste the contents of 'DDS.txt' into your post.
'attach.txt' should be zipped using Windows native zip utility and attached to your post. Compress and uncompress files (zip files)

This will check for a Rootkit infection

Download aswMBR.exe ( 511KB ) to your desktop.

Double click the aswMBR.exe to run it

Click the "Scan" button to start scan

On completion of the scan click save log, save it to your desktop and post in your next reply
