I had already run a full system scan with StopZilla which found 4 trojan files. I then ran Malwarebytes and it found and removed only one. I want to run through to make sure all of it is gone.

Here is my scan with OTL:

drekid2,

Your computer is set up like a corporate computer. It has several setting that are not "normal" for the typical user, as well as several specialized programs installed. For these reasons - I don't want to "muck about" to much with your settings.

All that being said, I'm not seeing any obvious signs of an infection. Let's get an online scan as a double check.

ESET Online Scanner:

Note: You can use either Internet Explorer or Mozilla FireFox for this scan. You will however need to disable your current installed Anti-Virus, how to do so can be read here.

Vista users: You will need to to right-click on the either the IE or FF icon in the Start Menu or Quick Launch Bar on the Taskbar and select Run as Administrator from the context menu.

  • Please go here then click on: [external image: Posted Image]

Note: If using Mozilla Firefox you will need to download esetsmartinstaller_enu.exe when prompted then double click on it to install.
All of the below instructions are compatible with either Internet Explorer or Mozilla FireFox.

  • Select the option YES, I accept the Terms of Use then click on: [external image: Posted Image]
  • When prompted allow the Add-On/Active X to install.
  • Make sure that the option Remove found threats is NOT checked, and the option Scan archives is checked.
  • Now click on Advanced Settings and select the following:
    • Scan for potentially unwanted applications
    • Scan for potentially unsafe applications
    • Enable Anti-Stealth Technology
  • Now click on: [external image: Posted Image]
  • The virus signature database… will begin to download. Be patient this make take some time depending on the speed of your Internet Connection.
  • When completed the Online Scan will begin automatically.
  • Do not touch either the Mouse or keyboard during the scan otherwise it may stall.
  • When completed select Uninstall application on close if you so wish, make sure you copy the logfile first!
  • Now click on: [external image: Posted Image]
  • Use notepad to open the logfile located at C:\Program Files\ESET\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt.
  • Copy and paste that log as a reply to this topic.

Note: Do not forget to re-enable your Anti-Virus application after running the above scan!

drekid2,

I believe that all but one of those are part of your Siemens program.

Now to Clean out the Java cache:

Go into the Control Panel and double-click the Java Icon. [external image: Posted Image]
  • Under Temporary Internet Files, click the Settings… button
  • click the Delete Files button.
  • There are two options in the window to clear the cache - Leave both Checked
    • Applications and Applets
      Trace and Log Files
  • Click OK on Delete Temporary Files Window
Note: This deletes ALL the Downloaded Applications and Applets from the CACHE.
  • Click OK to leave the Temporary Files Settings
  • Click OK to leave the Java Control Panel.

With that done… you should be good to go.

  • Double click on OTL to run it.
  • Click on CleanUp!
  • When done, you will be prompted to restart your computer. Please restart your computer.

The following is my standard advice for the future. Use what you can and pat yourself on the back for what you're already doing.

Please take time to read Preventing Malware - Tools and Practices for Safe Computing. Very important information for your consideration is contained therein.

I would also suggest you read this:
So how did I get infected in the first place?
by Tony Klein

Also: "How to prevent malware"
by miekiemoes

Please respond back that you understand the above and let me know if you have any questions. Otherwise, this thread will be closed Resolved.
Once again, I am blown away by the incredible staff and services you all provide here. I can't thank you enough for your help!
Actually, my microtrend officescan is still popping up that some kind of dangerous script keeps running everytime I open up a web browser. Is there something else I should do to scan and make sure it's all gone??
Tomk, I forgot to save the error message. If it happens again I will be sure to save and post it here. If not, I will assume all is well. I rescanned, and the single Trojan file is gone. The only files that remain are the CatPC which are for work. Thanks!
I'm going to leave this thread open for a couple days, just in case you get that error again. If I don't hear form you in a couple days…. I'll go ahead and close.
