My XP Pro machine come up with sudden pop-ups as security alart. Also 3 desktop shortcut - 'error cleaner', 'privacy protector', 'spyware & malware protection' - installed automatically. IE home page automatically directed to 'safewebnavigate.com/index.php?sid=502&a… Windows security alert popup as "windows has detected an Internet attack attemp … somebody's trying to infact your PC with spyware or harmful viruses. Run full system scan now … click here to download spyware remover for total protection". Another popup - Trojan.W32.Looksky detected - continuously annoying me. System hanged. Tried many Antivirus, spyware, malware, trojan remover, even in safe mode but in vain. How can get rid of this. Any help please.
Hi, and welcome to the WTT forums.
Sorry to hear of the problems with your computer.
It certainly sounds like you have picked up some infections and these need removing as soon as possible.
Please go here:
http://forums.whatthetech.com/index.php?showtopic=106388
read the directions carefully and post your logs over there in the Virus and Spyware Removal forum ( not here in this subforum please as we do not analyse them here)
An expert malware fighter will then analyse your logs and advise you (step by step) with the procedures you need to follow to clear your computer
