Hi all,

My Dads PC is infected with bifrost, could somebody please look at the hijack this log and help? I'm unable to run any exe files on the machine as it's a work laptop and we don't have the admin details. It's not letting any exe's run anyway.. Also, it's completely hidden the original desktop and replaced it with a bog-standard desktop with fake pop ups etc.

Here's the log:

  • Close all windows except Hijackthis and click Fix Checked
  • Click Yes when prompted
  • Close HijackThis.

You should be able to boot normally now and get your desktop back

Just want to say thanks for the help, it looks ok now and after a full system scan, Microsoft's Security Essentials looks as if it has removed the remains of the virus :)
OK, I'll close out this topic for now then If you find things still aren't quite right, run the diagnostic scan I recommended and start a new topic sheers ~CB
