Hi, i seem to have a problem with my external's not working correctly. They are locking me out, saying im not an administrator, they are also refreshing every 20 min or so.

In fact i thought one of my external's was failing, so i took it and shipped it back, they sent me a completely brand new one. But yet it's still having the same issue.

here is the topic if you want to get caught up on what we been discussing.

TBH I started to look at those topics, and was simply overwhelmed by the history, but from what I did see I suspect you have numerous issues, and all of them put together are hitting you from right left and centre so you don't know which way is up, but as i didn't read through the entire history (too tired TBH), I can't be sure of what has been done, or possibly rectified, so rather than try and piece it together, I suggest going back to basics, because to have that amount of repeated trouble means something just ain't right to state the obvious.

So lets start with a summary, if you could list your complete spec, and say if it's still the raidmax PSU your using, and let us know your temp's, it would be handy to see if they have altered or not, so if you can do this, also if you have any surge protection.
Also it may help to know what components are running on which lead inside the case, eg if the graphics card has it's own dedicated lead, or is it taking power from a molex adaptor, and how many drives etc are on which lead.

Currently I suspect you have bad power, lack of power, your running too hot, and we can't rule out the possibility of a problem with the case, either it's going faulty, or when you were installing something is not quite right, possibly a short or similar, or some combo of all these things, so what I purpose is to start with the minimum and build up, it would be a help to know if you have a meter or tester for the PSU, and if you have any spares to swap about if needed to test certain things, but don't take notice of the wattage of a PSU, yes big numbers look good, BUT, you should always take notice of the amperage, here is mine, considered among the Rolls Royce of PSU's to give you a guide.

Well i found the problem. Apparently it was just a bad USB port in my computer. I have another issue though, my E drive which is another one of my external's. Brought up a popup window and said the Recycle bin is corrupted. What can that mean now? It asked me if i wanted to dump the bin. But i chose not to. Because i don't want to get rid of all the data on there. It is a 2 tb hard drive and is pretty much full with about 10 gb of space.
Not come across that personally, but have had problems bin related on slave drives, and attempts to delete them have failed in windows (system ties up the bin I guess), so I boot to Puppy Linux and delete using that, then it's sorted, so I don't know why you chose to keep the bin, logically there should be nothing in there that you want, deleting the bin contents should not delete any other data, so the drives files should stay untouched. But one thing is for sure, that drive is way to full, it's probably screaming in pain lol, and could well be the cause of these problems, or at the least contributing to them, drives must have x amount of free space, they need this for moving files around when you access them etc, also fragmentation requires space to move temp files while doing it's job, no space (or not enough) cripples it's efficiency, you would be well advised to reduce the data on the drive, most advice says keep at about 60% full, 75% tops, although I have yet to see or hear an absolute recommendation, but odds on if you got another drive, or simply removed say 50gig of data it would be much happier, and probably work fine again.
NP, it wouldn't hurt to get the utility from the drive makers, and run a full scan checking for errors, if it is starting to fail the sooner you know the faster you can save the data, so given your history with these problems, a health scan certainly won't hurt, even if only for peace of mind.
