Processor P-4 3Ghz

I have a Intel P4 3GHZ processor in my computer. My question is should it show two processors in the device manager? (because it does) Also when I open task manager and right click on a program (that isn't working at the moment) it gives me the option to "set the affinity" which allows me to choose which processor will run the program. (processor 0 or processor 1) this is confusing because there is only one processor and it is old, prior to dual core etc. Thanks, Dan

It most likely your CPU supports HT (hyper-threading), a technology that simulates 2 cores in one. That's a good thing!
