When i start up my normal wallpaper isnt there. Instead therest eh Active Desktop Recovery. I have about 30 mins after start up before my "Themes" go down. Thats the 1st this that happens. Then IE runs really slow and popups are more frequent even with a blocker on. After about 40 more mintues i cant even open My Documents w/o freezing. Most times i cant restart properly and just endup shutting it off.
Thought id post a new one.

Thanks for any help and your patience.
Sounds more like a Windows Software issue.

You can use windows sfc (system file checker) You'd need your XP CD to make this work.
Click Start> Run> type sfc /scannow Note the space.
(Note that there is a space between sfc and /scannow)
crud lol i dont have access to the CD. please tell me theres alternatives. If I found someway to run the CD on my computer will i have to reinstall the OS? or does the sfc just need the CD to run properly?
