Doubleclick on the HijackThis.exe icon on your desktop.
By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
Click on Install.
It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log. To your thumb drive.
DO NOT use the AnalyseThis button, its findings are dangerous if misinterpreted.
DO NOT have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
If you follow the instructions on running HJT, when the scan finishes, Notepad will open with the results.
Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log To your thumb drive.
Put the thumb drive in the computer you're using. Open the thumb drive, open the file you saved and copy paste it here.
Get a copy of winsockxpfix.exe, save it to the thumb drive and copy it to the infected computer.
You just run it by double clicking on the downloaded file after you copy it to the non-working computer.
Things should work OK after it reboots your system.
LDTate, I hope this is what you were looking for……..

LDTate, I check the ones you told me to check, couldn't find any of the other things you listed, It's rebooting now….I don't really know how it's working now because I haven't tried to do anything with it…. But I do have to say, that I can see this tablet as having a great chance of ending up as a target at the pistol range……
LDTate, here is what it is….IE still will not open up to home page. Ran network diagnostics for windows XP and got this." Windows can not connect to the internet using HTTP, HTTPS, or FTP. This is probably caused by firewall settings. Check the firewall settings for the HTTP port (80), HTTPS port (443), and FTP port (21). You might need to connect your internet service provider (ISP) or the manufacturer of the firewall software." The firewall was already shut off by me trying to get to the internet earlier…… This tablet a wireless that keeps changing from from my wi-fi connection to another wi-fi connection by itself and usually lands on the other wi-fi connection and says that it is very low, while I have a DSL line with wi-fi for others, I have a eithernet cable running from the modem to the tablet and it won't allow me to shut of the wi-if……?
