Ok, I did everything you said on your last post. Also, some of the problems with facebook and such have gone away so that is great. Thanks for all the help! I also downloaded all of the programs that you suggested and will make sure to run them regularly. The only thing that seems to still be weird is my gmail not loading and having to go to non-html mode to load it. I used to use firefox cause I liked it a lot and the add-ons were great, but Chrome has been my recent browser cause of its speed and connection with google. Anyways, thanks a lot for all of the help, I really appreciate it. Take care :)
Hey again, I actually opened up my gmail today and it loaded quickly and normally, so I guess that's fixed too! I don't think I am having any issues with anything else now. So thank you very very much :yeah: If i notice anything else that isn't working properly I'll bring it up in this thread in the next day or two. Thanks a lot! Take care :)
Hey, only problem I still have, have had it for awhile is that, occasionally my pointer will disappear. It is still there because I can move it around and highlight things on my desktop, but I cannot see it. The way I can fix this is by doing windows button then opening Chrome and it will appear again. Weird right? Not sure if this is your area of expertise or not but thought I would try at least. I also must note that several months ago I ran a complete reboot on this laptop which wiped out everything and reinstalled everything. I think the mouse thing started happening shortly after this. Not sure if you could give me any help with this? Thanks a lot, sorry to come to you with more problems lol.
No it's not my area… more of a technical issue. I wonder though, because of what you say, whether there is a mouse driver that should have been loaded. Do you have a disk with that mouses driver on it?
Hmmm, did not see any discs with just the mouse driver on it. However I do have two discs that say they contain device drivers and diagnostics and utilities. Maybe these would help?
Well they might do. You want to find the driver that is compatible with your mouse and the one in the machine might already be the right one. It's just that you raised the point that things changed after you reinstalled everything and it made me think that it might be a driver problem. Really this is outside my area. You should address those questions to technical people. :)
