When it comes to hardware such as this external Hard Drive, folks will have differing opinions.

WD has been making some good HD's in the past few years.
Not all people have been satisfied with the bundled software.
But you are not required to use the bundled software.

As for "price" that value is about $12US less than I can buy it most places online from here in the US.
