i'm thinking about building a new computer. i'm thinking about it used as a med gaming comp while using it for general purposes. can anyone suggest to me what parts i could get for a budget cap about… $1000 NZD (about $712 USD) i am a total noob in choosing parts but i can get friends who build computers to help me out ^^ thanks. Nex
Hi Nex. Please don't take this the wrong way as it is not meant to be offensive. However, you should probably sit down and consult with your friends who have experience with this to help you out. Trying to ask this question in this forum is not likely to get a good answer. The reason for this is that there are thousands of different combinations of software and hardware you can use with all sorts of different price ranges and all kinds of different variables. Building your own computer is more complicated than throwing a few parts together and pushing the power button. There are a lot of compatibility issues to consider. Unless someone wants to spec out their current working system for you to compare to there isn't much chance anyone will just provide a "list" of parts and say go for it. These things take time and research. Not to mention there is a lot of personal preference involved. Have a great day.
