That registry export shows some corruption in that key. Who know how wide spread it is or what caused it. You have the XP cd with SP2. This is one service pack down from where you are now.Yo could attempt a repair install which willl result in reverting back to SP2. Your personal data would remain in place but a Repair install may not resolve the issues nor remove any hiden malware.
To resolve all of your issues, I'd suggest reformatting and reinstalling windows. You would be at SP2 and have a clean computer. You would need to backup any personal data that you want to keep as the harddrive will be wiped clean, You can find a very good guide HERE
If you would like to try a repair install, I can give you the instructions.
IMHO. reinstalling windows is your best option as we have no idea where to look now that we have exausted the usuall suspects.
