hello mates I hope you all doing well (: I have bought a second hand emachine N10 notebook but the manual doesnt tell what color the light should be while charging, or when the battery is dead. I cannot seem to figure out when I need to charge the battery (except the obvious of course when it no longer works). I think it should tell when it is need of being charged b4 it goes completely dead. I hope someone out there can help me, the emachines web site doesnt seem to be much help either. I hope i have not made mistake buying this machine :( Thanks in advance for any advises
Hi, if running Xp go to power options via Control panel and click on Power meter, this will provide details of battery SOC etc If you go to the advanced setting you can put an icon in the notification area as a permanent reminder.. If running Vista, 7 etc use equivalent Regards paws
Thanks a ton paws, Your valuable suggestion helped me getting out of the problem….Now i can sort out when i need to charge the machine :)
