My boss' computer had the Antivirus 2010 Virus/Malware or whatever it is on her computer. When it popped up she called me , as it was after 5PM, to find out what to do. Our IT people told us if we ever saw the pop up on our machines we were to do a hard reboot. That is what I had her do and to make a long story short, she was still infected.
I did a restore to an earlier point on her machine and ran Malwarebytes which found 2 pests. I don't remember which ones they were but I do have the logs saved on her machine if you were to need them. I have also run Disk Clean. There still seems to be a problem on her machine. Mainly, her HP Laserjet CM1017 will not scan from the scanner button (which is what she prefers). The HP solftware will start up but no scan ever takes place, then the printer window (on the printer) gives a communication error response. She has slow response when she clicks on a button (ie. OK, Cancel, etc) within any program and ADOBE PDF's on the internet will not open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all affected programs, several times, to no avail.
I now turn to you in honest desperation.

Hi, You mention that this is a business machine and you have an IT department. The issues you have with this machine should really be referred to your IT department as there may be company policies set on the machine by IT. The machine may also contain proprietary business information. Your IT department may prefer to reformat and reinstall this machine so no company information is compromised. If your IT department is not equipped to handle this and do not wish to reformat this machine, I can try and assist you, but It would be at your Company's own risk and WTT cannot be held responsible for any outcome.
We do not have an IT department, we have an outside contractor we purchased our business systems from. My assistant and I handle most of the IT issues and no, I'm not an IT person, I'm an accountant but I do know a little. I do think I have the problem solved, only time will tell. Thanks for getting back to me. You can close this topic.
