I've done some research. There are multiple versions of the "Briss" trojan. But, they are defeatable. First, we need a "snapshot" of what's going on inside your PC.

The best tool for this is Hijack This!

Please make a permanent folder (not on the desktop) for Hijack This! (suggest "C:\HJT\"), and download it (from the link in my signature) into that folder.

Run it from that folder.

Click "Scan".

DO NOT "FIX" ANYTHING WITH IT YET!!!
FIXING THE WRONG THING COULD RENDER YOUR SYSTEM INOPERABLE!!!

Click "Save log".

Reply to this thread, and post the ENTIRE CONTENTS of the log file into this thread.

Someone will examine it for you. :)

First, I would suggest you uninstall Kazaa. If you do, reboot afterwards to complete the uninstallation.

Please try the online virus scan/removal from Trend-Micro. Use the link in my signature to access their web page. Please note anything the scan found but couldn't remove (file names/locations) and supply that info in your next post.

If the online scan removes anything from your machine, reboot after the scan is completed.

Then, find this file on your machine using windows explorer:

Reboot.exe

And go to this web site:

http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus

And submit it for a virus scan. I'd almost be willing to bet a $3 bill it's infected. Let me know in your next post if it was infected or not.

When your finished, reboot your machine and post a new log file.

Some of the other things that need "fixed" will depend on whether you uninstall Kazaa or not. :)
well i did all that you said and al of the scanners said im clean also i want to keep kazaa but i think the virus is gone but i cant remember what i did to remove it if it comes up ill tell you thanks for your time and help i really appreaciate it
