[Closed] Problems with host file...

I am on my moms computer and she has told me that the computer was infected with several different things.. When i started up the computer and opened up my firefox the first thing i noticed is that everything is in a different language… She ran the malwarebytes program and quarantined a bunch of things ( i know this because i opened up the log and i looked at the quarantine tab) … but whats strange for me is that when i tried to run hijackthis it gave me this error message box: for some reason your system denied write access to the hosts file. if any hijacked this domains are in this file, hijackthis may not be able to fix this. it went on to tell me how i can fix it but i figured it would probably be best if i came here instead seeing as its probably a mulitude of problems thats going on. Any help would be appreciated… also my internet explorer and firefox are both running extremely slow. Im actually usuing internet explorer right now to post this.. Thanks for you time ps…. I might have fixed this problem already… I downloaded windows defender and went thru the microsoft site to have the host file automatically fixed.. firefox has gone back to normal english language but still runs slow… maybe someone could help me do a once over just to make sure everything is ok.. thanks.. no rush

Run a new malwarebytes (MBAM) scan and post the results using Copy / Paste.
