[Resolved] XP Infected with virus or something

Kudos my friend! Removed McAfee, Norton, cleared restore points, updated Acrobat, removed Java6-6, re-installed Symantic (no problems and currently running live update. Once complete I will adhere to the best practices. I appreciate the assistance, you da MAN!
