hello, my computor takes forever to startup and just is getting slower and slower. i run what i have for protection but i fear my issue is past that. the harddrive light never stopps running and i know that should not be happening. please help.

Take a read through this thread and then start a fresh thread in this forum and post accordingly. Please don't forget to include a brief description of your problem, and somebody will be along as soon as.
Helpers look for posts with zero replies which is why you need to start afresh and why i'll lock this one.
If your PC is not even going to handle the above, and I don't know how bad it is, then you should think about backing up any important files and then going for a reformat and reinstall to get the computer back into some sort of shape. If you decide to go in this direction, then the nice people in this part of the site will be able to help. They like this sort of thing and will be able to walk you through the necessary steps - just start a fresh thread there and await their arrival.
