Hi did that,
The ipod, phone & camera are all just recognized as drive F: no matter which usb port they are in.
Also i cannot get into the recycle bin on my account, it is still a blue screen with no icons in start page, and wont let me put picture on desktop.do you think this account could be corrupt?

You are refering to your desktop? If so try this:
Right click the taskbar near the clock and select Task Manager
In Task Manager click file, click New Task (run)
When the Create New Task box opens type explorer.exe and click ok
that opened up my documents, when i clicked on the recycle icon it just switched back to the last icon it was on, its like it does not want to even open the bin at all its like its non existant, The desktop is still the same, ive managed to be able to get on the internet via Firefox through Task Manager but windows explorer is non responsive and the boxes have trails when the window is been moved.
Hi lisafunkypants,
It is possible the account is corrupt. Whch account have you been using while we are trying to sort this out?
I know you used your daughter's account to run Sytem Restore. Was your account working properly after we used System Restore and this is something that just happened?
Thanks
No my account has been like that since i did a full recovery some time ago,it was done via my account and thets what it turned out like the other were ok though,
i have been using my sons account for all our work and just my daughters for restore.
Thanks, I was trying to figure out what we may have done to cause this. After we are finished here, I suggest you post in our Windows forum. They should be able to guide you in creating a new account and hopefully salvaging some of your personal data.
The file may or may not still b present on the Ipod but we'll have a look.
Plug in the Ipod first.
Next, Double click on OTL.exe
Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following
hi when i plugged in the ipod and did the fix, avast came up with a warning that it detected a trojan horse here is the otl log

Hi lisafunkypants,
That was just avast noticing OTL was moving the file. The Ipod should be ok now. Did you FDD on it?
How is the computer otherwise?
Thanks
the comp seems ok i did do FDD on ipod, theres still a usb at the front not working but i'll sort that and the avast has the Otl moved file in the chest, can i just delete the viruses in the chest or should they just stay in there?
Yes you can empty the chest. You can also delete the suspect folder we created on your desktop and zipit.exe. Empty the Recycle Bin.
Your java is out of date. Click your start button, open Control panel.
Locate the Java icon (it looks like a coffee cup)
double click it to open it
click the Update tab
Click update now
After the java is updated, reboot your computer if not prompted to.
Next
Open OTL then click the Clean Up button. You may get prompted by your firewall that OTL wants to contact the internet - allow this. A cleanup.txt will be downloaded, a message dialog will ask you if you want to proceed with the cleanup process, click Yes. This will do some clean up tasks and delete some of the tools you have downloaded plus itself.
* Create a new restore point
You must be logged on to an administrator account
Go to Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore.
Click Create a restore point, and then click Next.
In the text box labeled Restore Point Description, type a name for this restore point
click create
* Remove old restore points
Go to Start - All Programs - Accessories - system tools.
Launch the Disk Cleanup tool and let it run.
When it finishes a box with tabs will appear, select the more options tab.
On this tab you will find a section for System Restore.
If you press the Clean Up button for that section, Windows will delete all restore points except for the most recent one.
I'll let you carry on with the Techs in regards to your other issues.
