I just got to know that my WD passport hdd have unknow shell called "autorun.inf.vir". It look suspicious and im not sure what to with it. Is it dangerous shell? and should just delete it?

Autorun.inf would be a great convenience, if not for all the easy ways that it can be abused, particularly by virus and worm activity.

If you have not already, you ought to consider the Microsoft patch recommendation to at least partially turn off Autorun and AutoPlay features.

Unfortunately these steps may not be sufficient to prevent malware from taking action via autorun.inf

Let us know if you wish to pursue a higher level of security than that provided by the MS patches.
